Sanctus Bell

The brightly polished brass gong / bell that is struck at significant liturgical moments during the Eucharist. A red carpet lies across a tiled floor.

The crucifix which is sometimes used to lead a church procession. “INRI” above: the initial letters of the Latin which translates, “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”, this was the inscription Pilate had placed above Jesus when he was crucified.
