A project I’m working on, offering short and simple answers to questions about God, church and faith. These questions all come from people in Upper Weardale.

Looking for creative ways to share the gospel in Upper Weardale, using the wilderness as a place of worship and inviting people to come to a different sort of church service.

Turning failure into opportunity. The Diocese of Durham offers micro grants for missional activities, managed by Linda Ransom the Growing Churches Enabler. I reached out for a grant for a wireless microphone and was encouraged to apply for a larger grant to cover the whole vlogging exercise.

Thinking about the non-verbal communication of the church. Is it “Come to church we need your money and we have a job for you”, or is it “God knows you, loves you, and wants to set you free from the powers that crush you.”

The face-to-face enquirer’s courses felt like they had failed… it felt like no one came. What have I learned from this?

The fifth and final enquirer’s course in Upper Weardale… how did it go?

An evening of lonely juggling rather than encouraging curiosity about our eternal souls.
