I find that peace-filled locations help me to reflect and pray as I plan for the week ahead. I took a secondhand Minolta XG-9 with me to a picnic spot, along with a flask of coffee and my journal. Each photograph has a distinctive blue horizontal scratch – that looks as though something was dragging on the film surface. The camera seemed to leak light occasionally too. This Minolta will need a service before I use it again, but that will have to wait a few months because I don’t have the money right now. 35mm Kodak UltraMax.
